Friday Night Jazz in the Garden-The Nathan Moor Trio
Friday Night Jazz in the Garden is New World's weekly celebration of Tampa's vibrant jazz community, showcasing the incredible local musicians who make our city such a special place to experience live music. Join us every Friday at 8:00 PM in our lush outdoor Biergarten for an evening of exceptional jazz under the stars.
This week features the Nathan Moore Trio. They bring together three young and talented musicians with a shared passion for jazz, improvisation, and groove: Piper Kemmerer on bass, Eric Zabala on vibes, and 16-year-old bandleader Nathan Moore on drums.
Based in the Tampa area, Nathan Moore is a young drummer who has had the privilege of traveling around the country performing and learning from some of the finest musicians in jazz. Along the way, he has had the opportunity to play and work with artists including Kenny Garrett, Billy Childs, Dennis Mackrel, Quincy Davis, Erena Terakubo, Benny Benack, Matt Wilson, Miki Yamanaka, and many others.
The trio’s repertoire spans a wide range of styles, from swinging jazz standards and bebop to funk and modern jazz. Drawing inspiration from composers and artists such as Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, and Chick Corea, the group brings its own energy and personality to every performance.
Come early, grab dinner, and settle in for a memorable night of music. Our kitchen will be serving until 11:00 PM, and the bar will be pouring your favorite drinks until midnight, making it the perfect way to kick off your weekend.
While advanced tickets are not required, purchasing one helps us support the musicians who make this series possible and ensures we can continue to bring outstanding live jazz to the New World Biergarten every Friday night.
